'beyond time|space' explores the idea of stretched time as a sensibility experienced in lockdown due to the current COVID-19 worldwide pandemic. Wearing a garment that reflects COVID-like patterning both in the dress as well as the worn mask, the figure resembles that of a body crucified. With elongated arms, the figure is literally stretched across what resembles traces of an unnamed universe thereby defying both time and space. The work speaks to the embodied disturbances experienced due to enforced isolation. A violation of the human psyche, isolation has both heightened and highlighted the inherent need for human interaction and socialization. Without it, both body and psyche become unmoored and moves beyond space and time.
