Corals, gold, pearls and other ingredients of the elixir of life inspire a quest for eternity remind us of immortal values – the urge to overcome weakness, the desire for change, development and self-actualisation. The collectors' table bears the motifs of alchemy bound up with those of traditional medicine and modern anti-aging technologies. The plaster, metals, soap, wax, silicon and glass used by physicians imitate objects typical to such cabinets of rarities – fragments of the marine world, flowers, plants, animal parts and minerals.
