An entry fee of $20 is required and necessary to support our advertising campaigns, promotional materials, and various administrative costs. To promote inclusivity and diversity, we offer merit-based and hardship fee waivers to citizens of a nation in a state of war or unrest, and those living in a country with a low economic index. If you require assistance submitting your work, contact us with a brief statement requesting a fee waiver.

The Assembled Image explores photography as a constructed form, where reality is rearranged and reinterpreted. Through collage, composite, digital manipulation, or traditional composition — photographers can push the medium's boundaries. The Assembled Image invites photographers to assemble components and moments into something new, shifting how we comprehend the narrative of the captured image. The Assembled Image is an international open call for photographers ages 18 and older. ​​​​​​​All forms of two-dimensional images, traditional and non-conventional media, and conventional or alternative photographic processes with a subjective analog or digital photographic base are welcome for submission.

The Curator, Director, and Juror(s) will select approximately 35 images for exhibition in The Chateau's Online Gallery (TCG). TCG's management system (CRM) creates an entrant profile and categorizes submissions into themes upon successful submission. You will receive a confirmation email upon receipt of a successful submission. Submissions will be stored in the CRM "flat file" for one year for consideration in the current and future exhibitions. Jurors for TCG are a rotating assortment of past exhibitors, curators, editors, and members of various fields in the arts and culture sector. We believe in a "blind" jury process in which the juror is unaware of the photographer's identity. The selection process is based solely on the image and its title. Providing an image description is optional but is highly encouraged. TCG will notify entrants by email of the juror's selections. Notification is usually 10 to 12 days after the exhibition closes for submissions.

Call For Photography: The Assembled Image

Brashnar Artist-in-Residence (BAiR) is an artist owned and operated urban artist residency program in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.

  
Resident artists are expected to participate in all aspects of the residency program:

  
* A guided tour of the surrounding neighborhood and city center either as a group or individually (depending on resident arrival) during the first days of the residency
* Informal meeting and welcoming traditional Macedonian dinner for all resident artists prepared by Brashnar staff members
* A short informal presentation of artists’ work at the beginning of the first week.
* Garden related activities up to twice a month totaling approximately 3 - 5 hrs (planting, harvesting fruits and vegetables, garden maintenance, food preservation, pickling, making of marmalade, pinjur, ajvar)
* 1-2 short group trips to locations outside Skopje (Lake Matka, Mountain Vodno, Katlanovo natural thermal bath, Observatory Kokino etc.)
* 1-2 scheduled group dinners per week
* Up to 2 traditional Macedonian group meals at Volkovo Project Space prepared by Brashnar staff members
* Cultural exchange night through meal preparation, cultural dances or other various forms of exchange (each resident can choose a night to honor their culture)
* A 3 day/2 night trip during the last week of the residency to Lake Ohrid in the southwest part of Macedonia
* Open Studios Event at the end of the month with resident artists presenting their process/ work to the neighboring community and the local art community

* Private bedroom (single bed, closet space, pillows, linens, towels, blankets) in a shared family style living area

2025/2026 Strojich Fellowship

The Hambidge Center is situated on 600 forested acres in the mountains of north Georgia and offers miles of nature trails, meadows, waterfalls, a swimming hole and an abundance of wildflowers.

The oldest residency program in the Southeast, Hambidge provides a self-directed program that honors the creative process and trusts individuals to know what they need to cultivate their talent, whether it’s to work and produce, to think, to experiment or to rejuvenate. Residents’ time is their own; there are no workshops, critiques, nor required activities.

Each resident is given their own private studio which provides work and living space with a bathroom and full kitchen. The studios are designed to protect residents’ time, space and solitude.

Resident groups are intentionally kept small enough (8-10 people) to gather around the dinner table each evening, Tuesday through Friday, for delicious vegetarian meals prepared by our chef. These communal meals are an essential part of the Hambidge residency experience. Serious topics are discussed (and light-hearted ones, too), experiences are shared, and encouragement is given. Many a collaboration and life-long friendship have begun at the Hambidge dinner table.

Members of each resident group come from different walks of life and work in different creative disciplines; from musicians, culinary artisans and scientists, to visual artists, writers, dancers and arts & culture administrators. Each year, residents of all ages come to Hambidge from over 30 states across the U.S., as well as internationally.

Specialized equipment and facilities include the Antinori Pottery Studio, and a beautifully rebuilt turn-of-the-century Steinway grand piano housed in Garden Studio.

  
**WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU APPLY**

* The studios are comfortable, but _rustic and secluded_. They are purposely simple, and most are out of sight of each other and somewhat isolated.
* We are located in a forested environment. Residents should expect to occasionally encounter wildlife and insects – and sometimes the insects are inside the studios.
* It is very dark at night. There are no street lights or ambient light, other than the moon and stars.
* Due to our remote location, **there is no cell service at Hambidge**. Each studio has a phone for emergency, local and incoming calls.
* To encourage focused creativity, **there is no internet in the studios.** WiFi is available 24 hours a day in the communal space of Lucinda's Rock House.

In collaboration with a private partner hosting a special gathering at Das Tegernsee hotel, Der Greif invites photographers worldwide to submit images that illuminate these themes. This event brings together a select group of Europe’s leading founders, leaders, and change-makers.

  
Ten chosen works will be reproduced in DIN A5 format (high-quality digital print on offset paper, non-editioned) and shared directly with attendees in their personal spaces—prompting reflection on the most urgent issues shaping Europe’s future. Selected artists will receive a modest license fee and get exposure during the event, as well as through digital extensions. Visions for Europe: A Special Project by Der Greif

Cortona On The Move and the BarTur Photo Award are proud to announce their partnership to present the Cortona On The Move | BarTur Grant. Supported by the Visual Storytellers Fund, this initiative aims to support photographers worldwide by providing grants and resources to create compelling documentary photo essays. The Grant focuses on projects that illuminate urgent social, environmental, economic, and cultural issues of our time.

  
Photographers are invited to submit proposals for in-progress documentary projects that align with the fund's central themes. The grand prize winner and the two emerging photographer winners will be announced at Cortona On The Move Festival in July 2025\. The winners will have nine months to complete their project, with the final work submitted by 15th March 2026\. The completed work will be exhibited at the 2026 edition of Cortona On The Move, along with the two winning works by emerging photographers, offering a global stage to amplify their story. The Grant will cover the travel and accommodation for the winners to attend the opening ceremony of Cortona On The Move 2026.

The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her physical work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. The two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest side, and the installation piece should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kg. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding the size/weight limit.
