salt artistic research and production grant program

The Salt Artistic Research and Production Support Program, launched in collaboration with the BBVA Foundation for artists in Turkey, continues in 2025. The program, which aims to support artists and researchers who produce in the fields of art, architecture, design, urban and social studies, consists of two separate funds: the Artistic Research Fund and the Production Fund.

The Artistic Research Fund provides support for an interdisciplinary research project focusing on today's social and ecological issues. Within the scope of this fund:

• Focusing on current and critical issues at the intersection of art, design, technology, and ecology,
• Exploring prominent issues in the field of artistic research with interdisciplinary and experimental approaches,
• Utilizing the archival resources at Salt Research
• Developing original approaches in the exhibition of the research project is encouraged.

The selected research project is expected to be presented as a completed or ongoing work in an exhibition to be held at Salt Galata in 2026 within the scope of the support program.

The Production Fund is aimed at works focused on current social and ecological issues that establish a relationship with the dynamic and multifaceted nature of the moving image. Within the scope of this fund:

• Focusing on contemporary and critical issues at the intersection of art, design, technology, and ecology,
• Addressing interdisciplinary and experimental approaches to storytelling, visual expression, or performance in film, cinema, or new media is encouraged.

The production phase of the project selected within the scope of the Production Fund is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The completed work will be presented in an exhibition to be held at Salt Galata in 2026.
