**This piece is based on the final sketch my dad made before he passed away. He could barely see and it is unclear what he meant by this drawing but most likely it was a landscape. I expanded his pencil drawing into a large scale abstarct landscape, transferring the lines he made onto the canvas ans adding colour to it. This piece is a collaboration with his soul where I bring him in into present moment.** 

Following your footsteps

This piece shows the closeness of opposing emotions -love & hate inspired by the artist's challenging relationship with her teen daughter. Conflict creates holes, destabilising the emotional state, affecting the body. Flowing lines symbolise healing of constantly resurfacing cavities.

Thi work represents the energy exchange between nature and humans, the symbiotic relationship between living beings. The body it turned away from the viewer and the legs are interwoven with the roots of the tree creating a morphed form of part human and part tree. 

Tree Human

This work represents the continued existence of love after the artist’s mother lost her husband. Threes are a metaphor of continued growth, rooted feeling of love and commitment. Despite physical loss, her husband continues to live within her through memories and rituals. This painting shows two interconnected figures tightly brought together by natural elements highlighting close energetic vibrations between these two living worlds. 

Close to you within me 

This work represents the fragility of memories. The fragmented parts from the past that are becoming vague as if they are seen through the mist. LInes, shapes, faces are rubbed out. The lines are unclear but we know they are there. This work repflects the panic associated with the loss of memory with age and the importance to share the stories with the others to keep them alive.

What lies beneath

The shape of the body is intertwined with the trees describing the version of afterlife when the decayed physical body fertilises a new life.
