Overview

In 1957, Allan Kaprow first used the term Happening to describe a form of art, one that moves beyond traditional painting and sculpture into immersive, interactive events. Happenings blurred the boundaries between performance, music, dance, and daily life, transforming existence through artistic and social action.

It is in this spirit that Heure Fatale was created, a monthly salon where attendees won’t just watch but take part. Step inside installations, engage with live performances, and become part of the art as it unfolds.

Nothing is fixed and everything is possible.

What happens next is up to you.

Heure Fatale invites artists, performers, and musicians to submit work for Turning Points, our first multidisciplinary salon exploring pivotal moments.

We are seeking works that respond to the transitions between infancy, adolescence, and adulthood, or moments of transformation that redefine identity, perception, and experience. Whether subtle shifts or radical ruptures, Turning Points is an exploration of the transitions we experience as well as what is left behind.

Turning Points.

Life unfolds in a series of transformations, shaped by moments that mark the passage from one stage of existence to the next. Turning Points explores these pivotal shifts, those liminal spaces where identity is reconfigured, and the self is redefined.

From infancy to adolescence, and finally into the complexity of adulthood, each transition is both a rupture and a reconstitution. These moments may be subtle or seismic, personal or collective: the first word uttered, the realization of difference, the breaking of childhood illusions, the forging of independence, or the quiet decision that alters the course of a life.

This theme invites an exploration of the forces both internal and external that push us forward. How do memories and encounters shape the way we cross these thresholds? What lingers in the in-between spaces of change? And how do we reconcile the past selves we leave behind with the unknown that lies ahead?

Whether through personal narratives, abstract expressions, or collective rituals, Turning Points seeks to illuminate the shifts that define us, embracing both the uncertainty and the possibility inherent in transformation.
